Bottom-Up community group meetings (Movie Nights, Photography Workshops, Play.Art, Legal) for LGBTQIA+ asylum seekers & refugees. The community groups have the framework of facilitating the access of LGBTQIA+ asylum seekers & refugees to a community, where they can feel safe and be open about their identities. This helps them to discuss their situation with people who experience similar things and create a feeling of belonging.
All this is part of the empowerment of the participants in their identity as refugees as well as LGBTQIA+ people. The groups help the participants to improve their feeling of agency, self-efficacy, which is very important for mental help and coping with stressful situations.

Emántes means “we” in “kaliarda”, the first Greek lgbtqia community slang which has always been marginalized.
“We” is a response to what the “others” always symbolize and a bet for “us, the others” to be heard.
